In private practice, Mary works with adolescents, adults and couples, helping them with a variety of psychological problems such as: depression and anxiety, grief and loss, post traumatic stress (PTSD), all addictions including gambling, alcohol and other drug problems, adult survivors of abuse (including sexual, psychological, emotional and physical), and relationships, separation and divorce issues. Mary has experience with the gay community assisting individuals with issues concerning sexuality and relationships.

Mary develops courses and facilitates groups.  These include communication training skills, counselling skills training, stress management, caring for carers, vicarious traumatisation and relapse prevention programmes and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
